Paytrail acts as the payment intermediary for the Online Exclusive service. In order for Paytrail to accept your customer account, it needs information about your company and an electronic signature for the agreement. Filling in the information and signing takes place in the Merchant panel.
What is the Merchant panel and how do I log in?
The Merchant panel is a merchant's tool for tracking payments and managing everyday life. You have received a token for the service automatically after you have filled in the order form that Stockmann linked to you.
In order to receive settlements, you must fill in your company's information in the Merchant panel in addition to the order form. Read more about the necessary information below. More instructions for using the Merchant panel can be found in Paytrail's Help Center.
What information about my company needs to be provided?
Go to the Merchant Account section of the Merchant panel to complete your company's information. You can find it from the side menu on the left.
Merchant account, company & service
These sections ask for basic information about your company and service, such as name and contact information, as well as the address of your service or online business.
Owners and Beneficiaries
Fill in the information about the company's owners and beneficiaries in the "Owners and beneficiaries" section.
You can add owners and beneficiaries, or edit existing information later. The information to be added can be either persons or companies.
You need the following information for each person
- First and last name
- Nationality
- Social security number
- Date of birth
- Address
- The person's role in the company's ownership structure (beneficial beneficiary, member of the board of directors, or registered person) and information about his or a person close to him's significant public position.
Who is the beneficial owner and why is it being asked?
The actual beneficiary is always a natural person. The form of your company determines who the actual beneficiaries are. The actual beneficiary can be, for example, the entrepreneur themself. Read a more detailed description of the actual beneficiaries.
Asking the actual beneficiaries is based on the Act on Detecting and Preventing Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing, which Paytrail is obliged to comply with as a provider of payment services.
Who is a politically exposed person and why is it asked?
A politically exposed person has held a significant public position within the last year. You can enter information about a significant public position in the same section where you enter information about the person.
The following must be reported about a politically exposed person:
- Who is the person (the person themself or a member of a close circle)
- Name
- Country of employment
- The position and the possible end date of the position. Read a more detailed description of a politically exposed person.
Asking a politically influential persons is also based on the above described Act on Detecting and Preventing Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing.
Contact and invoicing information, as well as bank account for settlements
Fill in these with your company's contact persons, invoicing information and bank account information for settlements. The contacts can be the same as the ones you added earlier. Marking the contact persons is important because they will be sent various information related to the service.
Automated settlement reports
To get the settlement report automatically sent to your email when the settlement is created, you need to provide your email address. Go to Settings from the side menu on the left to provide the email address desired.If you leave this field blank, automated email reports cannot be sent.
Signing the agreement electronically
Once all the necessary information has been completed, the agreement must be signed electronically in accordance with the company's signature clause. Once signed, you will receive confirmation from Paytrail when everything is ready.
